چکیده
Introduction: Topical application of fluoride varnish on the tooth surface prevents dissolution rates materials and increases re-precipitation lost minerals. Objective: To assess effectiveness in primary dentition among preschool children at high risk dental caries. Methods: A randomized controlled trial was conducted with two parallel-group, comprising 3–5-year-old children, 100 each group (Fluoride or Placebo varnish). Dental caries were recorded baseline, three- six-month using Caries Assessment Treatment Instrument (CAST) scoring system. Statistical analysis done Chi-square test for categorical data, Mann-Whitney U test, independent t-test, Wilcoxon Signed Ranks quantitative data. The level significance set p<0.05. Results: Overall, progression from baseline to three months six more placebo than (38.98% 31.3% respectively). proportion new lesions that every interval. difference between groups statistically significant (p<0.05). Fluoride treatment once had a better effect preventive fraction 62.1% comparison (59.0%). Conclusions: can be prevented effectively by use 5% sodium varnish. is efficacious when applied twice year

متن کاملEffect of Lisinopril on Microalbuminuria in Sickle Cell Anaemia Children: A Single-Blind Randomized Controlled Trial
Background Sickle cell nephropathy is a major cause of morbidity and mortality in sickle cell anaemia (SCA). Proteinuria contributes to progression of renal damage. Icroalbuminuria is an early feature of SCN and progression to advanced kidney damage is delayed if regression is achieved with angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors. We aimed to ...

Several studies have reported that the antioxidant properties of melatonin can provide cardiac protection through scavenging of free radicals. This study sought to investigate the efficacy of melatonin on cardiac biomarkers, myocardial-specific protein high sensitive troponin-T (hs-TnT) and creatine kinase-MB (CK-MB), in patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) undergoin...
